Chandrabhaga or Prabhas Shakti Peeth, located near Triveni Sangam in the Prabhas region of Gujarat, is revered as one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. Situated near the famous Somnath temple, it is dedicated to Devi Chandrabhaga, Lord Shiva, and Bhairava Vakratund. Despite its proximity to Somnath, it is often overlooked by guides, requiring devotees to make an effort to visit. Worship here is believed to absolve sins.
Opinions vary regarding its exact location, with some associating it with the Amba Mata temple on Girnar mountain in Junagadh. The Girnar hill, famous for its religious heritage, houses a sandalwood and stone temple built by Bhimdev. Girnar is also linked to Lord Krishna, whose Mundan ritual is said to have occurred there.
Amba Mata temple, a sacred site for married couples seeking blessings for happiness, dates back to before the 12th century. Devotees flock year-round to worship the goddess and enjoy cultural events such as Bhavai folk theatre. The temple features a gold device engraved with 51 sacred verses and holds immense historical and spiritual significance.
चंद्रभागा या प्रभास शक्ति पीठ, गुजरात के प्रभास क्षेत्र में त्रिवेणी संगम के पास स्थित है और इसे 51 शक्ति पीठों में से एक माना जाता है। यह प्रसिद्ध सोमनाथ मंदिर के पास स्थित है और देवी चंद्रभागा एवं भगवान शिव (भैरव वक्रतुंड) को समर्पित है। हालांकि सोमनाथ के करीब होने के बावजूद, इस मंदिर को अक्सर गाइड नजरअंदाज कर देते हैं, जिससे भक्तों को इसे देखने के लिए विशेष प्रयास करना पड़ता है। यहां पूजा करने से पापों का नाश होता है।
इसके स्थान को लेकर विभिन्न मत हैं, जिनमें कुछ इसे जूनागढ़ के गिरनार पर्वत पर अंबा माता मंदिर से जोड़ते हैं। गिरनार पर्वत, धार्मिक धरोहर के लिए प्रसिद्ध, भिमदेव द्वारा चंदन और पत्थर से बने मंदिर का घर है। गिरनार का संबंध भगवान कृष्ण से भी है, जिनका मुंडन संस्कार यहीं हुआ बताया जाता है।
अंबा माता मंदिर, नवविवाहित जोड़ों के लिए सुखी दांपत्य जीवन का आशीर्वाद पाने का पवित्र स्थल है। यह 12वीं सदी से पहले का है और भक्तों की भीड़ यहां सालभर उमड़ती है। मंदिर में 51 पवित्र श्लोकों वाला स्वर्ण उपकरण है। यह मंदिर ऐतिहासिक और आध्यात्मिक दृष्टि से अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है।
